Rumors have been circulating for weeks on end about the Jonas Brothers Split.
Hopelessly dedicated fans, as well as anyone who is anyone, have been reluctant to believe such allegations. Are you sitting down? The rumors are officially true! The boy band that has rocked the world with number 1 hits like, S.O.S. and Burnin’ Up , have officially calling it quits.
Some predicted they saw it coming, while others are still in complete shock. The trio officially announced their split Oct. 29, just three weeks before canceling their buzzed about 19-city tour. According to eonline.com, it was due to “a deep rift in the band.”
“After the Jonas Brothers were signed to Hollywood Records in 2005, they went on to sell more than 20 million albums worldwide. They starred in two Camp Rock movies and headlined their own Disney Channel show,” E! News reported. From key chains to any type of memorabilia emulated after them, The Jonas Brothers had it all. So why split after all this success?
All prepped for tour, The Jonas Brothers were ready to sell out concerts around the country, until Nick Jonas felt the need to tell his band mates and brothers what was on his mind . Oct. 3 was the day they called it quits, as Nick Jonas had concerns about the bands upcoming future, says E!. The youngest member of the Disney famous, super group told People Magazine, “I was feeling kind of trapped, I needed to share my heart with my brothers.” Lead singer of the group, Joe Jonas, 24, claimed to People, “It was a unanimous decision.”
It would be pretty hard to believe even though they’ve split musically, that the brothers would cut ties all together. Don’t worry, they’ve made it clear that family is first, and their support for each other is still in full effect. A source tells E! News, “There are no personal issues.” The source went on to reveal, “They all just wanted different things. They love each other. They always will.”
The handsome three-some also went on to explain their story on ABC’S Good Morning America, Oct. 30, with Robin Roberts. They revealed the scoop about budding heads, disagreeing on the direction of the band, and basically revealing that they all just had changed their priorities and wanted different things out of the business.
Going on to thanking their dedicated fans for following them for years on end, the brothers revealed on GMA, one last gift they had for their fans. E! spilled the details from oldest member, Kevin Jonas, “”The album will actually not be completed, but we will be doing something for our fans,” Kevin Jonas said on the morning news show. “They have traveled with us and been with us for so many years that we did
not want to just leave without giving them back something. So what we’re going to do is, we’re going to release four unreleased songs from the album. The rest of the album will never be released.”
The brothers have taken time off from their group in the past to work on solo, side projects, but never spoke of disbanding. This time it is the end…for now. Kevin Jonas, 26, tells E!, “It’s over for now.” E! News reported, “Drummer and vocalist, Nick Jonas, 21, said, It’s really hard to say forever, we’re closing a chapter, for sure.” Is this a hint that there could be a reunion tour? Who knows what is next for the brothers since they are solo acts now.
As for what is next for the three talented New Jersey natives, they will not be stepping back from the spotlight. Expecting a baby girl with wife, Danielle Jonas, Kevin Jonas told E! he plans to get to what he has really loved, the business aspect of the industry, already working on a project. Former Broadway star, Nick Jonas, who is dating Miss Universe, Olivia Culpo, told E!, he wants to get back to theatre, but create some of his own music, written for himself, and others. Last, but certainly not least, Joe Jonas revealed to E! that he too, wants to create his own music while getting back to acting. Fans should not be worried about the separation because it seems as though everyone will be seeing the three very soon, just not sharing the stage.
Once a world sensation, it is certainly sad to see the Jonas Brothers end an era of success. The most influential of boy bands cannot seem to stay together. The Backstreet Boys, N’SYNC, and now “The Jo Bros.” Other boy bands that are on the rise and taking over Hollywood from the UK are One Direction and The Wanted. Inquiring fans and the public are wondering if the Jonas split has them worried about their own fate.
