Introducing the BUnow Scholarship Award!
Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is adding a new scholarship for anyone involved with BUnow! The BUnow Scholarship Award will recognize at least four students every year who have contributed to BUnow in any way. The award is $1,000. There is also a crowdfunding site hosted by the Bloomsburg University Foundation with a goal to raise an additional $1,000.
Applicants are required to have a 2.0 minimum GPA and must answer a few open-ended questions regarding their time in BUnow. Students will be asked:
Why they joined BUnow (200 words or less).
What BUnow means to them (200 words or less).
To describe their contributions to BUnow (200 words or less).
To discuss their favorite article or contribution to BUnow (100 words or less).
To briefly describe themselves (200 words or less).
And, to list any other campus activities they are involved in (100 words or less).
All applications for the 2019-2020 award must be emailed to Dr. Richard Ganahl (rganahl@bloomu.edu) by 11:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20. All applications will be reviewed by the BUnow Scholarship Review Board which consists of Dr. Ganahl and four former editors of BUnow.
