Men’s Basketball: The men split their pair of games during the week of Jan. 27- Feb. 2. The Huskies lost 88-77 at Millersville on Wed., Jan. 29. Redshirt senior guard Lorenzo Christmas led the team with 23 points, including five 3-pointers. Redshirt senior guard/forward Dontahe Jordan recorded a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Bloomsburg rebounded to defeat Lock Haven 77-76 on Sat., Feb. 1. Junior guard John Riles scored 14 points, including a game-winning jumper with nine seconds left to propel the Huskies to victory. Jordan recorded another double-double, with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

The Huskies then defeated Cheyney 62-56 on Wed., Feb. 5. Christmas led Bloomsburg with 19 points, while Jordan recorded yet another double-double, with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Notes:

Dontahe Jordan was named the PSAC East Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week after averaging 17 points and 13 rebounds in Bloomsburg’s two contests during the week of Jan.27.-Feb. 2.

The Huskies are now 12-8 overall, and 8-3 in the PSAC East Division.

The Huskies’ next game will be at home against Shippensburg on Sat., Feb. 8. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

Women’s BasketballThe women swept both of their games for the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2. The Huskies defeated Millersville 79-77 on Wed., Jan. 29. Senior guard Catherine Noack scored 17 points, and hit the game-winning 3-pointer with five second left to give Bloomsburg the win. Freshman guard Morgan Klunk led the team with 21 points for the night.

The Huskies were then victorious over Lock Haven by a score 69-57 on Saturday, Feb. 1. Noack had a game-high 26 points on 8 of 13 shooting from the field. Redshirt sophomore forward Adreana Sadowski added in 10 points, and junior guard Jocelyn Ford recorded nine points and four assists.

The Huskies then defeated Cheyney 89-49 on Wed., Feb. 5. Sadowski led Bloomsburg with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Noack chipped in 16 points.

Notes:

WrestlingThe #22 ranked Bloomsburg University Wrestling team swept their matches for the week of Jan. 27- Feb. 2. On Friday, Jan. 31, the men defeated Cleveland State University by a score of 30-8.

Men’s Swimming: The men swam past the competition at the Crimson Hawk Dual Challenge, defeating IUP 206-169, and Gannon 252-114. Some notable winners for Bloomsburg included:

Sophomore Jake Harner (Breast/IM/Free)- 100-yard breaststroke (58.60)

Senior Bryan Masilotti (Free)- 100-yard backstroke (55.49)

Junior Brandon Sherbo (Distance)- 1000-yard freestyle (9:51.52)

Sophomore Alex Otero (Free/IM/Breast)- 200-yard backstroke (1:58.58)

Women’s Swimming: The women lost both of their matches at the Crimson Hawk Dual Challenge, losing 206-197 to Gannon, and 281-102 to IUP.

Sophomore Kaci Mcllmoyle (Free/IM) qualified for PSAC’s in the 200-yard butterfly, posting a time of 2:14.58.

Sophomore Ashley Dix (Free) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle, with a time of 2:01.20, while sophomore Kristina Halner (Distance Free) took third, with a time of 2:01.64.
