Football: Defeated Stonehill 41-13 on Saturday, Sept. 7. Senior Frankyln Quiteh rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns, while redshirt sophomore Tim Kelly threw for 166 yards and a touchdown. The Huskies’ next game is Saturday, September 14 at Edinboro, with a 12 p.m. kickoff.
Men’s Soccer: Sophomore Spencer Conrad scored early in the second half to guide the Huskies to a 1-0 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas. Goalie Bernie Roll collected four saves for his tenth career shutout. The men’s next game is Tuesday, Sept. 10 at home against N.Y. Institute of Technology.
Men’s Cross Country: As a team, the Huskies finished third at the Flat Land Invite on Saturday, Sept. 7. Junior Kyle Phillips finished second with a time of 15:56.60, while freshman Eric Murray finished eighth with a time of 16:37.01. Bloomsburg will be back in action Saturday, September 14 at Kutztown University for the Division II Challenge.
Women’s Cross Country: Graduate student Vicki Davis finished first with a time of 17:21. The women took first place overall, with seven Huskies finishing in the top 15. They will also travel to Kutztown on Saturday, Sept. 14 for the Division II Challenge.
Field Hockey: Lost a close matchup, 3-2 to Stonehill University in overtime on Saturday. Junior Felecia Domenici scored 11 minutes into the second half to tie the game at one apiece. Sophomore Candice Smith scored with two minutes left in the game to tie the score at 2-2. Bloomsburg’s next game will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 4 p.m.
