Football: The Huskies defeated Mercyhurst 38-22 on Saturday, bringing their record to 3-0 on the season. Running back Eddie Mateo rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, while the Bloomsburg defense forced six Lakers turnovers. The Huskies will host Shippensburg on Saturday, Sept. 30 with kickoff being at 2 p.m.

Men’s Soccer: The men won their third consecutive game on Saturday, defeating Pitt Johnstown 5-1. Scoring goals for the Huskies were Cameron Cleary, Anthony Cerda, Roma Loboda, Austin Transue and Brian Kilcoyne. The Huskies will take on East Stroudsburg this Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 4:30 p.m., and at home against West Chester at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Women’s Soccer: The women won their fourth game of season and have now won four out of their last five games. The Huskies defeated Pitt Johnstown 3-0 behind goals from Megan Carroll, Brooke Mohney and Sierra Fortunato. Freshman goalie Megan Deak has made 35 saves and recorded four shutouts since taking over the starting role on Sept. 6. Bloomsburg will play at East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m., and at home against West Chester at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30.
