Football: Defeated East Stroudsburg 52-38 on Saturday, Oct. 19. Senior running back Franklyn Quiteh rushed for a school record 304-yards, and scored four touchdowns. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Tim Kelly completed 17 of 22 passes for 238-yards, while throwing for a touchdown and rushing for two touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Glen Hutton Jr. caught eight passes for 113-yards and a touchdown. On the defensive end, junior cornerback DJ Robinson and redshirt senior cornerback J.P. Patrick each recorded an interception. The Huskies’ next game will be Saturday, Oct. 26, at home, against Cheyney. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Men’s Soccer: The men defeated Millersville 2-1 in overtime on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Senior forward Fran Miller scored the game-winning goal five minutes into overtime to give the Huskies the win. Senior defender Matt Cannon also scored for Bloomsburg. The men then lost 6-0 to Shippensburg on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Sports Stadium. The men’s next game will be Saturday, Oct. 26 at home against Lock Haven. The game is set for a 7:30 p.m. start.
Women’s Soccer: The women defeated Millersville 1-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Sophomore forward Ashley Sanchez scored the game-winning goal for the Huskies. Field Hockey: The women defeated Slippery Rock 3-1 on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Junior forwards Nikki Black and Felicia Domenici each scored for Bloomsburg. Senior Brittany Mathews also scored for the Huskies. Bloomsburg then lost 2-0 to West Chester on Saturday, Oct. 19. Their next game will be Wednesday, Oct. 23 on the road against Seton Hill. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Women’s Cross Country: The women finished fifth as a team at the Penn State Nationals on Friday, Oct. 18. Graduate student Vicki Davis won the event with a time of 21:16. Davis was also named the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Athlete of the Week for Division II (USTFCCCA). The women will compete next in the PSAC Championships at Kutztown University on Saturday, Oct. 26.
Men’s Cross Country: The men also competed at the Penn State Nationals on Friday, Oct. 18. Junior Kyle Phillips finished 23rd with a time of 27:55 to lead the Huskies. The men will compete next in the PSAC Championships at Kutztown University on Saturday, Oct. 26.
