Huskies Weekend Recap

Football: Defeated Millersville 45-7 on Saturday, Oct. 12. Redshirt freshman running back Joe Parsnik tallied 18 carries for 85-yards, while senior running back Franklyn Quiteh scored twice for the Huskies. Also scoring for Bloomsburg was freshman receiver Lawrence Elliott Jr., who returned a punt 73-yards for a touchdown. The Huskies’ next game will be Saturday, Oct. 19 on the road against East Stroudsburg. Game time is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.
Men’s Soccer: The men lost 1-0 to West Virginia Wesleyan at Sports Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Senior goalie Bernie Roll made nine saves for the Huskies. Bloomsburg went on to defeat California University of Pa 3-2 on Saturday, Oct. 12. Senior forward Fran Miller, senior defender Anthony Manero and sophomore forward Miguel Diaz each scored for the Huskies. The men’s next game will be Wednesday, Oct 16 on the road against Millersville. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
Women’s Soccer: The women lost 2-1 to California University of Pa on Saturday, Oct. 12. Senior Tara Huber scored the only goal for Bloomsburg. The women’s next game will be Wednesday, Oct. 16, on the road against Millersville. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Field Hockey: The women defeated #7 ranked East Stroudsburg 2-1 on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Junior Felicia Domenici scored and recorded an assist for the Huskies. Senior Brittany Mathews also scored for the Huskies. Bloomsburg field hockey then defeated Mansfield 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 12. Sophomore Nikki Gattone scored for the Huskies, as well as Mathews and Domenici. Their next game will be Tuesday, Oct. 14 at home against Slippery Rock. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Women’s Cross Country: The women were idle this week. Their next event will be Friday, Oct. 18 at the Penn State Invitational.
