Football: Defeated Gannon University 38-14 on Saturday, Oct. 5. Senior running back Franklyn Quiteh recorded 24 carries for 251 yards and two touchdowns on the day. Redshirt sophomore fullback Derek Burkhard caught a 42 yard pass for his first touchdown of the season. The Huskies next game will be homecoming weekend, which is Saturday, Oct. 12 at home against Millersville. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Women’s Soccer: The women lost 2-0 to Kutztown on Wednesday, Oct. 2. The Huskies rebounded with a 3-1 win over Mansfield on Saturday, Oct. 5. Senior Tara Huber, freshman Jenna Fisher and freshman Allie Camp each scored a goal for Bloomsburg. The women’s next game will be Friday, Oct. 11 at home against Slippery Rock. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Men’s Soccer: The men lost 2-0 to Gannon Wednesday, Oct. 2. Then, on Saturday, Oct. 5, Bloomsburg came close to recording an upset over 19th ranked Mercyhurst, narrowly losing 2-1. Senior Fran Miller scored the lone goal for the Huskies. The next game for the men will be Tuesday, Oct. 8 at home against West Virginia Wesleyan. Game time is set for 4 p.m.

Field Hockey: The women defeated Mansfield 2-1 on Saturday, Oct. 5. Junior Felicia Domenici and sophomore Angie Deballis scored for the Huskies. Their next game will be Wednesday, Oct. 9 at home against East Stroudsburg. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Women’s Cross Country: Graduate student Vicki Davis finished second with a time of 21:14 at the Paul Short Invitational Brown race at Lehigh University on Saturday, Oct 5. Their next event will be Friday, Oct. 18 at the Penn State Invitational.

Men’s Cross Country: Junior Kyle Phillips ran the Paul Short Invitational Brown race at Lehigh University on Saturday, Oct 5 in a time of 27:25. Their next event will be Friday, Oct. 18 at the Penn State Invitational.

Men’s Tennis: The men lost 8-1 to the University of the Sciences on Sunday, Sept. 29. Senior Brayden Shipman recorded the lone victory for the Huskies with a 6-3, 6-2 result. The Huskies are idle this week.

Women’s Tennis: The women lost 8-1 to IUP on Saturday, Oct 29. Freshman Maddie Graziani recorded 6-3, 7-5 singles victory for the lone win by Bloomsburg. The Huskies are idle this week.
