Huskies Weekend Recap

Football: Defeated Lock Haven University 56-10 on Saturday, Sept. 28. Senior running back Franklyn Quiteh rushed 11 times for 205 yards and recorded four total touchdowns. Redshirt sophomore Tim Kelly completed 12-17 passes for 184 yards and four touchdowns. The Huskies’ next game will be Saturday, Oct. 5 at Gannon. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.

Women’s Soccer: The women lost 4-2 to Edinboro on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Freshman forward Jenna Fisher and senior forward Tara Huber scored for the Huskies. The women rebounded with a 3-0 win over Davis and Elkins University on Thursday, Sept 26. Fisher recorded a hat trick for Bloomsburg. The women’s next game will be Wednesday, Oct. 5 at Kutztown. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Men’s Soccer: The men lost 1-0 to Queens College on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Senior goalie Bernie Roll recorded seven saves for the Huskies. Bloomsburg then lost 2-0 to Concordia on Saturday, Sept. 28. Their next game will be at Gannon on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 4 p.m.

Field Hockey: The women defeated fifth ranked Kutztown 5-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Freshman forward Sam Peters scored three goals to lead the Huskies, with junior forward Felicia Domenici and senior midfielder Samantha Facciolla scoring a goal apiece. Bloomsburg then lost a hard fought 1-0 double overtime game to #1 ranked Shippensburg on Saturday, Sept. 28. Their next game will be Saturday, Oct. 5 at Mansfield. The game is schedule for 6 p.m.

Women’s Cross Country: Graduate student Vicki Davis captured her third win of the season, taking first place at the Husky Invitational with a time of 18:29.  Junior Lauren Lehman finished second with a time of 18:59. The Huskies next race will be the Paul Short Invitational Saturday, Oct. 5 at Lehigh University. The race will start at 10 a.m.

Men’s Cross Country: Junior Kyle Phillips finished four at the Husky Invitational with a time of 28:05. Freshman Eric Murray finished 12th overall with a time of 29:02. The Huskies next race will be the Paul Short Invitational Saturday, Oct. 5 at Lehigh University. The race will start at 10 a.m.

Women’s Tennis: The women competed in the Bloomsburg Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 28, and Sunday, Sept. 29. Below are the results for both days.
