Surely we all remember (how could we forget?) when pageant child, Alana Thompson, a.k.a. Honey Boo Boo, took the nation by storm with her ridiculous remarks on “Toddlers and Tiaras” and later her own self-titled reality television show. Well, now Honey Boo Boo wants us to know she is moving up in the world with her first song she recently dropped called, “Movin’ Up.”The song expresses how Honey Boo Boo started as a pageant queen, then a reality star, and now… a recording artist? The song, of course, has a music video featuring America’s favorite rednecks (besides the Duck Dynasty guys, of course) Mama June, sister Pumpkin, and Mama June’s boyfriend, Sugar Bear.
It’s great to see that a year after their reality show was cancelled by TLC from Mama June’s previous relations with a convicted child molester, the family isn’t staying down. They’re still striving for that 15 minutes of fame. Good for you, Thompson family!
They have promoted their song on Instagram and seem to be quite proud of it.

The song was assisted in writing and production by singer/songwriter, Adam Barta, who also makes an appearance in the music video. Don’t feel bad if you have to look him up; I did too.
Honey Boo Boo’s pop song is more so her talking/yelling to some electric pop background music. The video is the whole crew doing the “Honey Boo Boo Bop” which is the only line in the chorus and apparently the next big dance movement. So, next time you’re in the bar or at a party, rather than busting out the “Whip” and “Nae Nae,” you could bust out the “Honey Boo Boo Bop;” however, I am not suggesting it.
Even though this article pretty much wraps up the song and video, you know you still have to watch it for yourself. So here’s the link that will possess the next 2 minutes and 42 seconds of your life.
*Warning: You will want to stop watching, but you will not be able to.
