High School Musical 4?! Yes that’s right, it’s actually happening. My inner sixth grader is screaming at the moment. But, how could they possibly make another High School Musical? According to E! Online, the producers are on the search for five new characters.
As sad as it may be that the old Wildcats’ crew will not be reunited, it’s good to know that one of the characters is supposed to be Ryan and Sharpay’s cousin. The main character, the jock who is also a theater geek, is going to be related to Sharpay and Ryan—at least we have a bit of a connection to the original movies here.
The new movie will be the East Wildcats versus the West High Nights. Zac Efron, told E! that he would be willing to do another High School Musical, also adding that the rest of the cast would be willing to do one as well, but as of now the old cast being reunited is not happening. “I co
ntinue to see all the guys from High School [Musical],'” Efron added. “Every time we do…there’s just this look between us. It’s so cool because we never forget a single moment of that experience.”
All that Disney has announced so far is a nationwide casting search for High School Musical 4; casting call is this spring. Who will the new Wildcats be, and will they be as good as Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, and Lucas Grabeel? I guess we’ll just have to wait to find out.
