Grammy Award Winning Kathy Mattea to Visit Bloomsburg University

Three-time Grammy Award winning-singer Kathy Mattea is coming to Bloomsburg for two days to speak and sing on our campus through another Celebrity Artist Series event.
On Thursday, April 25, at 8 p.m.in the Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall, Mattea will be the keynote speaker at the 22nd annual Health Sciences Symposium and Wellness Fair. This year, the fair will focus on Alzheimer’s disease as Mattea discusses The Healing Power of the Arts.” Discussions will continue on Friday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Kehr Union Ballroom.iscusses “
After an inspiring discussion with the talented musician, Mattea will perform on Friday, April 26, at 8 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts. She will perform some of her latest songs from her new album, “Calling Me Home,” and the Grammy Award-winning song, “Where’ve You Been,” on our stage. She’ll also present some of her Top 20 radio hits, including “Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses,” and the bluesy “455 Rocket.”
Mattea sings about her life growing up in a coal mining area, like many of us have and can relate to. Even loveable pop-country singer Taylor Swift hasn’t received three Grammy Awards, so don’t miss the chance to catch someone as talented as Kathy Mattea.
