Gilmore Girls Funko Pop! Coming Soon
Funko Pop! figures have been all the rage lately. Everything from comics to movies to TV shows have gotten the Funko Pop! treatment. These little vinyl figurines can be found in stores all across the country like Hot Topic, Target, Walmart, and more.
Now the popular show Gilmore Girls is getting their own set of Funko Pop! figures. Gilmore Girls was a CW show that aired from 2000 to 2007 and followed Lorelai Gilmore and Rory Gilmore, a young mother and her teenage daughter, and their life in Stars Hollows, Conn. while they deal with relationships, friends, school, their future, and the reconnection to Lorelai’s estranged upper class parents.
In December the company will be releasing three Gilmore Girls Funko Pop! figures. The sudden addition of Gilmore Girls Funko Pop! figures is most likely due to the revival of the show that will be coming to Netflix on Nov. 25. These figurines will be Lorelai Gilmore, Rory Gilmore, and Sooki St. James, who is Loreali’s best friend.
Each of the figurines embody the character with their design, clothing, and/or object they hold in their hands. The Lorelai figurine includes the figure with curly brown hair, purple eye shadow, a purple shirt, jeans, brown shoes, and a Luke’s diner mug. The Rory figure includes her straight brown hair, blue Chilton Academy blazer, her plaid blue Chilton Academy skirt, black leggings, black and white shoes, and of course a book. The Sooki does not include an object in her hands, but has her red hair in pig tails, a pink and white bandana, blue button up chef shirt, green pants, and silver shoes.
Many people are commenting their excitement about these pop figures on social media. Although the figures will not be out for about another two months, you can stream the revival mini movies entitled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life or watch all seven seasons of the original Gilmore Girls series on Netflix right now.
