Get Ready For AHS Little Monsters
After her redefining career performance at this years’ Oscars, Lady Gaga has now announced her part in the next season of American Horror Story. This season, American Horror Story: Hotel, is set to air this fall as the fifth season of the series. Vulture refers to Gaga’s casting as one of the most logical castings ever.
On Feb. 25, Gaga posted a teaser on Twitter with a video that went viral tweeting, “Make your reservation now. #GagaAHSHotel.”
Then on Feb. 26, Gaga tweeted, “I am so excited to be a part of American Horror Story’s hardworking cast. A twisted fantasy. My favorite kind.”
Variety also touched on the casting and said that the announcement, “felt so right you swear you already read about it last week.”
Gaga’s starring role is still unknown but it will be her first starring role as an actress in a well-known production. Previously Gaga has had small roles in multiple short scene pieces such as “Men in Black 3,” “Machete Kills,” and “Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For.”
The director of “Machete Kills and Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For,” Robert Rodriguez, commented on Gaga’s potential acting career to Entertainment Weekly: “She would be fantastic. The camera loves her. She’s a great performer. She’s performed twice for me now and I was blown away by her disciple. She studied acting before she became a singer and you could really tell.”
In addition to Gaga’s roles in the short films, she has also taken part in unscripted shows such as “So You Think You Can Dance,” “The X Factor,” and “American Idol.”
Gaga’s role in the show will most likely be the role that takes over for the previous star, Sarah Paulson, who is now playing Marcia Clark in “American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson.” Hollywood Reports noted that Paulson mentioned many times that season four would be her last season.
Details about the season are being kept very secretive so viewers will have to anxiously await more news. One thing executive producer Ryan Murphy has stated is that the previous seasons all will connect with the fifth season and clues about this upcoming season were throughout the fourth season.
Although the casting announcement will have all of Lady Gaga’s ‘Little Monsters’ stir crazy for a while more details about the season will be announced in March at Paleyfest.
