Georgia Climbs the College Football Mountain

The Georgia Bulldogs managed to capture their first College Football championship since 1980 defeating perennial powerhouse Alabama.
After a costly fumble with 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter, Georgia QB Stetson Bennet managed to bounce back and throw two touchdown passes to give the Bulldogs an 8 point lead late.
With a minute left in the game, Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young threw a pick six to Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo, sealing the deal and crushing Alabama’s hopes of going back to back.
All season long Georgia became a sure fire number one team in the country, except for one game: a month ago the Crimson Tide beat Georgia in the SEC Championship game 41-24 giving Georgia their one and only loss.
Although technically a favorite according to Vegas, Georgia had the deck stacked against them. Head Coach Kirby Smart was 0-4 against Nick Saban including losing the national championship game in 2018 against Bama.
Nick Saban congratulated his former assistant after the game.
“I’m really proud of him. And I’m proud of the way he’s been able to coach his team and the consistency that they’ve played with all year.” Saban said.
The Georgia Bulldogs finish their championship season at 14-1, a school record for wins.
