On Friday, April 26, Dr. Ganahl’s PR Cases and Problems class held a bocce tournement on the quad to support the Special Olympics Bocce Event. Fourteen teams came out to support and help raise money for the Bocce Event. It was an amazing day filled with fun, sun and bocce. The 14 teams which consisted of students, faculty and community participants competed to win bragging rights, candy filled cups and champion t-shirts.

Team “None of Us Have Ever Played Before” was victorious and walked away champions! Congratulations to Mark Abshire, Mark Murphy, Kyle Richards and Stew Mills. We raised several hundred dollars in team fees and donations and could not be more appreciative of the over show of support. The Bocce Event is run completely through fundraising and donations and every penny counts.

Donations are still being accepted through the website Indiegogo. You can make a donation at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/let-s-ball-out-for-the-special-olympics
