Students who wish to re-vamp their book, movie, and music collections, but only have pocket change to work with are in luck this month.  The ninth annual Friends of the Bloomsburg University Library Association (FOBULA) book sale will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 21-22, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, March 23 in the Schweiker Room of the Andruss Library. The doors will open early for members of FOBULA from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday.  For a payment of $25, three-year memberships can be purchased at the door.

Eager buyers in past years have traveled from up to 100 miles away to take advantage of low prices for quality materials.  A variety of fiction and non-fictions books, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, videos, and video games will be available for prices ranging from 25 cents to $2.  The money raised will go toward text book scholarships for four BU students and to fund special library projects.

Amongst the high stacks of varying materials waiting to be sold at this year’s sale are works by Leo Tolstoy, William Faulkner, and R.L. Stine, as well as an I Love Lucy video collection and music by the likes of Whitney Houston, Madonna, and Rod Stewart.

The sale is a part of FOBULA’s goal to provide valuable resources for study, research, teaching, and community services at Bloomsburg University as an integral part of the State System of Higher Education in Pennsylvania.  To learn more about FOBULA, log on to http://organizations.bloomu.edu/fobula/index.html.
