Fifty Shades of Disturbing

Target has stirred up some controversy by allowing the sale of “Fifty Shades of Grey” toys to be sold in their stores, and no these toys aren’t for kids.
If you haven’t heard of the ultra-explicit trilogy “Fifty Shades of Grey,” you must be living under a rock. The books, by E.L James, have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide and follow the not-so-love story of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.
Some customers have been upset due to the placement of these “toys” in the Target stores. The picture below posted to Twitter by a shopper in Tulsa, Okla., shows kids toothbrushes next to the seemingly inappropriate items of the series phenomenon.
“Massage Me” candles, “No Peeking” blindfolds, and a vibrating love rings are just some of the items that people can now purchase at Target. Whether it was a mistake, or a new marketing scheme, it has people questioning Target and its judgment. I guess it does make it easy to shop for mommy and daddy and the children all at once.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” will be hitting theaters this Friday, Feb. 13.
