It is that time of year again, the beginning of new shows and the return of your old favorites. This year all four (4) major cable networks are putting out shows that are going to put up a tough fight. This week is premier week, all week tune into primetime (8:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. ) and see if you can find a show that fits your liking. With a wide variety of shows coming out, there is plenty to choose from.

CBS is hoping for the best with three (3) shows premiering. “Mike & Molly”, is a new comedy about a working class Chicago couple who find love at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. Officer Mike Biggs is a good-hearted cop who sincerely wants to lose weight. Mike meets Molly Flynn, and instantly likes her personality and charm. She is a fourth-grade teacher and is humorous about her curves. Mike and Molly found each other in the most unexpected of places. Now this show will take you on their journey of love and companionship. “Mike & Molly” premiers Monday September 20, 2010 @ 9:30 only on CBS.

Hawaii-Five-O is also a show that CBS is releasing this fall. “Hawaii-Five-O” premiers Monday September 20, 2010 @ 10:00 only on CBS. The show is a contemporary take on the classic series about a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands’ sun-drenched beaches. Detective Steve McGarrett, a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop, returns to Oahu to investigate his father’s murder and stays after Hawaii’s Governor persuades him to head up the new team: his rules, her backing, no red tape and full blanket authority to hunt down the biggest “Game” in town. There is much more to the story line, but tune in every Monday on CBS to join the team and the other cast members on their journey.

Lastly for CBS, comes the highly anticipated show, “Blue Bloods”. This is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York City Police Commissioner and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with politics. He is a family man, and the story has characters involved as District Attorneys and other law enforcement agents making the show come alive. It also does not hurt that it takes place in the city that never sleeps, New York City.  “Blue Bloods” premiers Friday September 24, 2010 @ 10:00 only on CBS.

With CBS having a decent line-up, NBC has come out with more comedy and more action to try to get all the ratings that they can. “Outsourced” is NBC’s new workplace comedy series centered around a catalog based company, Mid America Novelties, that sells American novelty goods including whoopee cushions, foam fingers and wallets made of bacon, and whose call center has suddenly been outsourced in India. People are asked to move to India and the show goes through with a sales team, closely relating the show, “The Office”. This show is going to be a funny one. “Outsourced” premiers Thursday September 23, 2010 @ 9:30 only on NBC.

Season 10 of “The Apprentice” kicked off already and will continue Thursday nights @ 10:00 only on NBC. 16 more candidates have been chosen and this season is going to be thrilling. Who will be the next one to hear the words, “You’re fired!”

My Generation” is being put out by ABC and many people seem to be interested in this one. “My Generation” premiers Thursday September 23, 2010 @ 8:00 only on NBC. The story goes through high school graduates from the class of 2000, and is more of a documentary in their current lives. How do their dreams and aspirations from over ten years ago relate to their new and current lives. Also, Sunday September 26, 2010 a brand new season of the ever-so-popular, “ Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” kicks off.

In my opinion, I have saved the best for last. FOX is where it is at this fall, with everything people want in a primetime line-up. From the start of “GLEE”, season 2, the party is getting started. “GLEE” returns Tuesday September 21, 2010 @ 8:00 only on FOX. Rumors are circulating and who knows what will happen next.

Continuing after “GLEE” on Fox Tuesday’s, there is a new show on the block called “Raising Hope.” The story follows the Chance Family, as they find themselves adding an unexpected new member into their household. “Raising Hope” premiers Tuesday September 21, 2010 @ 9:00 only on FOX, after the season opener of GLEE.

There are many more options for everyone, which will all be premiering throughout the week and into next week as well on the major networks, trying to bring more attractive shows to the viewers. If you are looking for a new show that has everything that you are looking for, there is definitely something out there.
