Patronus over Adulting: New Pottermore Quiz Released

As I’m studying for my college exams and contemplating what bars I’ll be at when the weekend hits, I drop all of my ‘adulting’ responsibilities and jump onto all Harry Potter fan’s go-to site: News has just hit of J.K. Rowling releasing a new sorting quiz.

You’ve been sorted into your Hogwarts and Ilvermorny houses, your wand has chosen you, what else can a Potterhead hope for? The only thing left is to find out your spirit animal of the wizarding world, a patronus.

No more scanning the pages of the novels and paying close attention to the Dumbledore’s Army scenes to guess what animal would escape your wand when you utter the words “Expecto Patronum”.

The site welcomes the viewer to nothing less than what we’ve comcat-patre to expect from J.K. Rowling. A spectacular visual for the eyes and enchanting music for the ears. The graphics of a forest illuminated by your prospective Patronus transports the fan back to the magical feeling had the first time cracking open Sorcerer’s Stone.

As states,

“Each Patronus takes the form of a different animal that has a special affinity with the caster – in Harry’s case, his Patronus is a stag. Hermione’s Patronus is an Otter, while Ron’s is a Jack Russell Terrier. Now it’s time to discover yours. Summon up your happiest memory, and the Patronus experience will take you through a beautiful forest where you’ll be asked to make a series of choices, based on a set of cryptic prompts written by J.K. Rowling. Your answers will be timed and you can only discover your Patronus once.”

harry-potter-patronus-006Fans have taken to Twitter, sharing their Patronus in the hopes of finding which are the rarest. Of course it’s useful to note that one Patronus is no better than another, however the rarest seem to be those that are magical creatures.

This fan is happy to announce her Patronus is a Unicorn.

Travel over to Pottermore, think of your happiest memory, and have all of your childhood and adulthood dreams realized with the discovery of your unique Patronus.
