One Direction, Minus One
If you follow One Direction at all, you have already heard that Zayn Malik has left One Direction. He left One Direction the week of March 22 due to allegations that his fiancée, Perrie Edwards, got very upset about photos that went viral of Malik with another girl. She even allegedly told Zayn, “Get home if you want to sort this mess out, or we’re done.”
But now, the tides have turned.
According to Belfast Telegraph, Zayn has been “banned” from following his fiancée on tour. “The law has been laid down to Zayn – you cannot follow Perrie around like a puppy dog,” a source told British newspaper, The Mirror. Continuing, “One aspect is that he is desperate to show her that their relationship [is] real and things are back on track despite accusations he cheated on her while in Thailand.”
The article then goes on to say that Little Mix, the band that Perrie is involved with, wants to grow and expand next year, and they don’t want Malik to be a distraction.
“Having distractions is not what they need. Perrie already faces dozens of media questions about Zayn, when the focus should be on their music.”
But, on a completely different note, HollywoodLife has come out saying that all is well with the couple. It even states that, “Zayn…has been told by fiancée…that leaving One Direction was the “best thing” he could’ve possibly done after his struggles with One Direction’s massive fame.”
The article goes on to say that Zayn was “fragile” because of the fame that accumulated over the years. The source continued saying that, “If he had stayed, the consequences could’ve been a lot worse.”
