Drake to release new album in 2021, ‘Certified Lover Boy’

Drake announced he is releasing a new album, “Certified Lover Boy,” in January 2021. He released a short teaser on Oct. 24, his 34th birthday. Watch the video below for the teaser.
Drake has not released an album since “Scorpion” in 2018. The rapper had a productive 2020 with his release of “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” which was a 14-song mixtape. This album will be his sixth full album release. “Champagne Papi” featured big names such as Playboi Carti, Young Thug, Chris Brown and Giveon. Drizzy accomplished the feat of being the first male artist to have debuted three songs in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs chart.
The teaser depicts images relating to his past albums “Take Care,” “Nothing Was the Same” and “Dark Lane Demo Tapes.” The short one-minute clip begins with a young boy gazing up into the sky as a light is shone down on him. Later, the video flows into more current images of the rapper rendered into recreations of his previous albums.
Drake has also made a partnership with Nike to launch merchandise for “Certified Lover Boy.” This launch with Nike is predicted to be a huge move for the rapper and more is to come from this partnership.
The merchandise has been released on Drake’s main website and already has sold out completely. With a move like this, Drake is predicted to be making serious money with Nike and possibly further sell-outs as such.
