Crazy For Cudi

The event that received all the hype had finally come. On Sunday, Nov. 7, Kid Cudi officially arrived at Bloomsburg University. Even though the concert was scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m., students were waiting outside of Nelson Field House around 5:00 p.m. in the frigid cold.
Right when the doors opened, students flooded in past the metal detectors to get to the front of the stage. Everyone was eager for “Cudder” to come out. Opening up for Cudi was Chip The Ripper who rapped a few songs. After his performance, students began chanting, “Cudi, Cudi,” wanting him to come out on stage.
The time finally came when Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, “Kid Cudi,” came out. Students went crazy. Not only did Cudi perform some of his old songs such as “Up Up & Way,” “Soundtrack 2 My Life,” and “Pursuit of Happiness,” from his album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, but he also sang songs from his new album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Ranger which is out in stores November 9th. From this album he rapped to songs like “Ghost,” “Erase Me,” and “Marijuana.”
Of course students went crazy when he was on stage, but they really screamed when Kid Cudi jumped into the crowd several times, having the security guards chasing after him and holding onto him. Not only did Cudi jump into the crowd, but he gave out several shirts to the fans. When Cudi finished up the show with “Pursuit of Happiness,” the field house emptied with students buzzing about his performance.
