Bloomsburg University’s annual Springfest events will kick off this year with Musicfest. Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19, on the Academic Quad, five musical artists will be performing. Both touring artists and BU students will be playing, and the lineup includes the following:

– Overboard Vocals

– Brookside

– Austin Renfroe

– Nina Hingston

– I Don’t Wanna Be a Robot

“This is the first year we’re doing Musicfest, so this is like the ‘pilot episode’,” said Dave Portelles, a member of the band Brookside. “We’re super stoked, and we hope it goes well so that we can continue doing it in the future.”

Musicfest will be free admission, and in the case of inclement weather will move from the Quad to the Scranton Commons Amphitheater or Carver Hall’s Kenneth S. Gross Auditorium.

Musicfest is sponsored by the Community Government Association (CGA), Program Board, Residence Life and the Springfest Planning Committee.
