Beatles Rocker Paul McCartney to Play a Role in the Fifth Pirates of the Caribbean

Paul McCartney will be making an appearance in the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise titled Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales, according to multiple news reports.

The filming has already finished up and despite this the directors, Espen Sandburg and Joachim Rønning, have decided to film an extra scene involving 73–year-old, rock star. The role in which McCartney will be playing is being kept secret until the movies release.

McCartney’s appearance makes him the second rocker to be in a Pirates film right behind Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. Richards played Captain Jack Sparrow’s father in the third and fourth films. This was a fitting role because Johnny Depp adapted his character’s personality from Richards’ personality.

McCartney has been keeping himself relevant somehow to this day without the help of his music he continues to put out. His music released after 2000 is still pretty good, too. Even his recent mash up with Rihanna and Kanye West shows that he can stay current.

The movie is set to come out on May 26, 2017. Let’s hope that this extra scene doesn’t seem misplaced in the movie and doesn’t come off as a way to try and sell tickets to a movie series that has already been dried up.
