The Student Parent Association (SPA) will be hosting their first meeting of the semester at 12:30 p.m. on January 22, 2009 at the Women’s Resource Center in Schuylkill Hall. The organization provides students with information and referrals to resources on campus and in the community. Along with information, the organization offers a support group and valuable workshops pertaining to topics such as resume building, CPR certification, career development, and parenting techniques.
This semester SPA is looking for students to fill officer positions as well as participate in creating a monthly newsletter. These are both great opportunities and resume building material. Students who wish to learn more are encouraged to attend the interest meeting.
