Diplo Gets Dissed
Sparks ignited recently over a Twitter feud involving three of the hottest celebs in the music world.
Electric Dance Music DJ and music producer, Diplo, initiated the drama on Wednesday, November 12th, tweeting, “Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty,” including a link to a fundraising campaign on Fundly shown here: https://fundly.com/get-taylor-swift-a-booty. So far, fans have raised a whopping 95 dollars with still a way to go to reach their overall goal of 3,500 dollars. Not only did several “Swifties” react negatively to his statement, Swift’s partner in crime and rocker, Lorde was there to defend her back… literally.
Taking it to Twitter to fire back, “Royals” singer tweeted to Diplo, “@Diplo should we do something about your tiny penis while we’re at it hm.”
Slamming back, Diplo retweets her post adding “the moment you realize she’s a high school student,” mocking Lorde’s young age of 18 years.
It is rumored that this daring DJ is dating pop princess, Katy Perry, which would help us to understand the reasoning behind this dispute. US Weekly confirmed Swift’s new hit “Bad Blood” released on her latest studio album, 1989, was indeed written about Perry herself. The two successful female vocalists grew a strong dislike for one another after both dating musician and womanizer, John Mayer.
No official responses have been made by any singer involved regarding the incident.
Who’s really dissing who and does it actually matter? Not particularly…
Swift is topping charts with her record-breaking album, Perry is currently selling out arenas on her Prismatic World Tour, and Lorde was announced as the curator for the much anticipated, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” soundtrack.
And as for Diplo, well, take this as a learning lesson and just Shake it Off.
