Feb. 2014, Columbia and Montour Counties will heat up with the Destination Blues music festival, “Your winter blues

heaven on Route 11.”  Caldwell Consistory, in partnership with Downtown Bloomsburg, Inc., and Briggs Farm Blues Festival, in collaboration with the Billtown Blues Association, brings the “Destination Blues” music festival which will feature international, national, and regional blues performers at multiple venues, as well as bus transportation among the venues and participating hotels. This event will take place at the Caldwell Consistory, at 150 North Market Street in Bloomsburg, Pa.
*Our condolences go out to the Moose Exchange. Due to the devastating fire and smoke damage, the location has been changed for this event.

Tickets are $20 for BOTH nights. This includes both the brewery tour on Friday night and entrance into the Caldwell Consistory Saturday.

If you are not able to make the Saturday event you can participate in the brewery tour ONLY by joining us Friday night at any of the breweries. Wristband purchase to ride the bus is $5 for a night of fun!

No food or beverages are included with the purchase of the ticket. Check out our Facebook page for updates on brewery specials Friday night.

 

Saturday at the Caldwell Consistory, there will be food, beer, and wine available for purchase; this is NOT a BYO event.

An advance ticket at $20 buys admission to the Exchange all afternoon and evening long, plus bus transportation between the Exchange and hotels in both Columbia and Montour Counties.  Attendees can purchase down-home, locally-prepared food and local beer.  Day-of tickets will cost $25. The Econo Lodge at Buckhorn will serve as the host hotel for the event; other lodging partners include Bloomsburg’s Patriot Inn and Hampton Inn and Danville’s Pine Barn Inn. Destination Blues could not happen without the collaboration of two of our area’s longtime blues impresarios: Richard Briggs of the Briggs Farm Blues Festival and Bonnie Tallman of the Billtown Blues Association. Destination Blues has received significant financial support from Montour and Columbia Counties’ Tourism Funds as administered by the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau.  The Exchange and DBI thank the Montour and Columbia County Commissioners for their vision and enthusiasm. No, this event is family friendly. Anyone over the age of 21 who wishes to consume alcohol must bring a valid form of ID to prove age.

Visitors and shoppers park on Main Street or in municipal lots one block north and south. Look for the traditional blue-and-white Parking signs.
