Derek Jeter is Engaged: So Let’s Look at his Impressive List of Ex-Girlfriends

Derek Jeter is known by most for his Hall of Fame worthy baseball career with the New York Yankees that came to an end with the closing of the 2014 MLB season. Jeter played in the league for 20 years and is the proud owner of five MLB World Series rings and holds numerous Yankees and MLB postseason records. However, Jeter is also well known for his success in the dating field.

Jeter recently put a ring on the successful Sports Illustrated 2015 cover model, Hannah Davis. The couple have been on and off since 2012, but it seems Jeter is finally ready to settle down. While we wish Davis and Jeter the very best in their engagement and marriage, let’s take this time to look back on Jeter’s extremely successful dating career.

Current wife of Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo dated Jeter back in 2003. Their relationship was considered very on and off. Minnillo is well known for hosting MTV’s popular afternoon show TRL (Total Request Live) and also for holding the title of former Miss Teen USA.

9. Tyra Banks

Iconic model and TV personality, Banks, was rumored to have spent some time with Jeter. However, both deny ever hooking up.

8. Lara Dutta

Dutta, Miss Universe 2000, also spent some time with Jeter. Reportedly, Jeter saw her on the daytime talk show Live With Regis and Kathie Lee, and shortly after sent her tickets to attend one of his games. They dated for around a year.

7. Jordana Brewster

Brewster is well known for her reoccurring role in the Fast & Furious movies. Like the women on the rest of this list, she also dated Jeter back in 2003. Obviously they did not work out, but regardless she had nothing bad to say about him. Years later, she said, “I still like the Yankees. And he’s a great guy!” Jeter, you can do no wrong.

Johansson and Jeter were spotted out to dinner in 2004, however, this is another case where both deny ever hooking up. It is safe to say that no one believes them.

Singer/songwriter, Carey, had the pleasure of being Jeter’s first celebrity girlfriend. They dated back in 1996-1998 when they were both at the very top of their games. Jeter was named rookie of the year in 1996 and went on to assist the Yankees in winning their first World Series in 18 years. The fact that they were both just starting out in their careers probably contributed to their breakup. How can you blame them?

The couple dated for three years and engagement rumors even spread around in 2010, however, we all know how this relationship ended. Sadly.

Even if they were only linked briefly, Lima has to be at the top of this list. The Victoria’s Secret Model and Jeter dated for a short amount of time back in 2006. However, Lima was a well-known virgin at the time, who strongly believes sex should be left until after marriage. She told GQ magazine, “Sex is for after marriage… [Guys] have to respect that this is my choice. If there’s no respect, that means they don’t want me.” You can probably take a guess why the two of them did not work out.
