COVID on campus: 10 students with confirmed cases

On Aug. 17, Bloomsburg University began its fall semester in person and online. On Aug. 18, the university confirmed its first off-campus case of COVID-19.
In an email addressed to BU students, the university claimed to be sanitizing all areas that the student visited on campus. The university also stated that they “will not be providing additional information regarding those whom [they] are aware have tested positive.”
Rather, the university will update COVID-19 cases on a designated COVID-19 web page. The page is set to update every Wednesday and will keep track of the overall positive cases and negative results of that week.
Currently, 10 students have tested positive for COVID-19 along with an employee.
BU reminds its students to wear a mask at all times, frequently wash their hands and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
