Mask mandate lifted for public transportation
Effective Monday, April 4, 2022, Bloomsburg University lifted the mask mandate for public transportation services. These services include the BU shuttle bus, large vans and bus trips. This decision was made based on guidance from the CDC and the Pa. Dept. of Health.
The mask mandate was declared at the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester. This included both indoor spaces and public transportation.
However, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, masking for indoor places was lifted on Bloomsburg University’s campus. Nearly one month later, masking is only recommended almost everywhere on campus.
Masks/face coverings are still required in the BU Student Health Center, BU Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic and Campus COVID testing sites if experiencing symptoms.
Students still have the option to wear a mask if they choose to do so. Please be supportive and respect their decisions at all times.
