Commonwealth University Activates New Student Portals

Commonwealth University initiates it’s next plan, as part of the integrated schools of Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield Universities. Announced on Sunday, March 19th, Commonwealth University leadership teams across all three campuses will be implementing ” Banner aka My Commonwealthu” for all students and faculty, effective April 2nd, 2023. The announcement was made via an email on behalf of Dr. Ed Keller, Interim Associate Vice President for Information Technology.

“All campuses of Commonwealth University will be conducting advising and class registration, for Summer 2023 and Fall 2023, in a new student information system, (Banner/OneSIS), beginning on April 2, 2023.  This email is to alert students that Banner/OneSIS training is now available.  Please review the various options available for student training as we prepare for advising and registration.”

Below is all of the new systems actively being integrated to BU, LH, MU.


  • BOLT will be integrated through a new system, so students who wish to take a class at the other schools do not need another email/sso login (i.e a LHU/MU student doesn’t need an email adress for BU classes). The software will still be through Brightspace D2L.
  • Help Desk across all three campuses has been integrated to one help desk
  • A new faculty look up has been added
  • Banner (Test) has been added to view the new system
  • Banner (Prod) is the new MyHusky, MyHaven, & Student Self Service portal(s) – known as MyCommonwealthu

While the systems are not yet full activated, students should be prepared for updates, maintenance downtimes, and issues accessing their accounts while the transition continues. Students & faculty members noticing issues should report to the Commonwealth University Help Desk.

V. Live Training Sessions – Schedule and Zoom Links 

There are thirteen live Banner/OneSIS Zoom training sessions scheduled from Monday, March 20, 2023, through Friday, March 31, 2023.  Faculty, staff, and students may join these sessions as many times as desired.  The live sessions will mirror the Zoom recorded sessions in terms of content and the Ellucian Banner/OneSIS consultant will be prepared to answer questions, too.  Here is the schedule and Zoom links:

VI.  Access to Banner  

Faculty, staff, and students will have access to Banner/OneSIS during the March 20-31 training period.  Please note that Banner/OneSIS does not go-live until March 31, 2023 with all student data.  When accessing Banner/OneSIS during the training period, users will see limited data as the Ellucian/CU team finalizes data for go-live on March 31, 2023.  Access to Banner is here: []  

From here, click on the OneSIS/Banner button.  You will then be taken to Banner through the Commonwealth University Single Sign On (SSO).  After validation you will pass through the first time, “Welcome Screens,” and then arrive here:
