Come One, Come All to Brewsburg 2014

October is here and we couldn’t be more excited. Aside from getting to experience pumpkin flavored everything, this month is filled with awesome events happening all over town.
Downtown this month will be the third Annual Brewsburg, presented by Downtown Bloomsburg Inc.! What is Brewsburg you ask? It’s a night of food, music, drinking, and live entertainment, all happening on Oct. 18. The event is from 7 p.m.-11 p.m at the Caldwell Consistory located on 150 Market Street.
The food and drinks will be catered from our favorite local restaurants such as La Fontana, Capitol Restaurant and Bar, Turkey Hill Brewing Company, Marley’s Brewery & Grille, West End Ale Haus, The Links at Hemlock Creek, Pine Barn Inn, Balzano’s Italian Kitchen, Rose Marie’s Restaurant, Freas Winery Farm, Wanderlust Café, and Nap’s Pizza.
Joining us will also be the Berwick Brewing Company, Old Forge Brewery, Sly Fox, and Weyerbacher. Along with all the delicious food and great drinks, there will be live music from Royal Benson, 3rd Street, Kris & Julie Kehr Trio, and the Highgrass Ramblers.
New to the scene this year are the amazingly talented side show circus members of Atomic Entertainment. While you are chowing down and getting your drink on, you will see Bruno, the Ringmaster, wandering the crowd and interacting with the guests. How will you know it’s him? Because he will be wowing everyone on stilts, of course.
Then, there is Jalya, who will be mesmerizing the crowd with her insane belly dancing skills. Did I mention she will also be using fire in her act? She knows how to work a crowd by showing off her fiery and fierce dance moves. As if a fire performance isn’t enough, there will be Pan-American champion, Olga the contortionist, gracing the audience with her incredible performance.
Now, I know you’re probably thinking this all has to cost a fortune, right? However tickets are only $45 for food, drinks, and all of this awesome entertainment. If you plan on being the designated driver of the night, you only have to pay $20 and are still entitled to all you can eat and all of the entertainment. It’s definitely something you don’t want to miss!
Tickets can be purchased here or at the Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce located right in town at 238 Market Street next to the post office.
