A new cafe is coming to town and it will have cats!

Cats in Bloom is a cafe that serves as an adoption platform for local rescues and shelters. The cafe itself is not a shelter and can’t take rescues directly, as the animals have to be vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and tested for feline immunodeficiency virus and feline leukemia virus.

Cats in Bloom brings cats that have been vetted for house life to the public. It will be open certain days to the public, for ages 5 and up. The cost of entering the cafe is $5 per person and the funds will be used to maintain the cafe.

The cafe will not serve food, but patrons are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks as long as they are not shared with the cats. If a patron is interested in adopting a little bundle of joy, they can complete a rescue application. A time will then be scheduled later to inspect potential cat parents’ homes to ensure they are a safe environment for the adoptee.

Cats that are adopted must be kept indoors only and must keep their claws.

The location of Cats in Bloom is 102 W Main St, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.

Cats in Bloom is currently looking for volunteers. For any questions, contact Sue Beaver at sue@catsinbloom.org.
