Football: The Huskies defeated West Chester 31-28 on Saturday, Nov. 2. Senior running back Franklyn Quiteh rushed for 154-yards and scored a touchdown. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Tim Kelly completed 16 of 27 passes for 272-yards, and rushed for 40-yards and a touchdown. Senior defensive back J.P. Patrick recorded a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown. The Huskies next game will be Saturday, Nov. 16 at home against Slippery Rock. The winner of the contest will be crowned champion of the PSAC. Game time is set for 12:30 p.m. and will be aired state-wide on television.

Men’s Basketball: The men dropped their first contest of the season at Chestnut Hill 68-62 on Friday, Nov. 8. Redshirt senior forward Dontahe Jordan scored 17 points on 6-10 shooting, and grabbed seven rebounds. Redshirt senior shooting guard Lorenzo Christmas scored a team-high 19 points to go along with four rebounds. The men then defeated PSU-Hazleton 79-61 on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Redshirt sophomore Wes Lyons led the Bloomsburg with 19 points. The Huskies next game will be Saturday, Nov. 16 at home against Lincoln (Pa). Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

Women’s Basketball: The women opened up with a 97-57 win over Chestnut Hill on Friday, Nov. 8. Six players scored in double figures for the new-look Huskies, who graduated four starters from last year’s PSAC championship team. Senior guard Catherine Noack scored a team-high 15 points, including four three pointers. The women’s next game will be on Saturday, Nov. 16 on the road against Wilmington (Del.). Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

Wrestling: Two Husky wrestlers won their respective weight classes at the Brockport Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 9. Redshirt senior Bryce Busler claimed the title for the 149 pound weight class after upsetting number one ranked Kendric Maple of Oklahoma University in the finals, 5-3, in overtime. Busler was named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler for his efforts. Senior Josh Veltre won the title for the 156 pound weight class by defeating Clark Glass of Oklahoma University.

Men’s Swimming: The men defeated Edinboro 141-101 on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Nelson Fieldhouse. Eighteen new cut times were posted by the Huskies during the meet, in addition to the 25 PSAC times that were set. Sophomore Jake Harner (Breast/IM/Free) led Bloomsburg with three PSA qualifying times. The Huskies next be Saturday, Nov. 16 at Dickinson. The meet is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Women’s Swimming: The women lost 135-127 to Edinboro on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Nelson Fieldhouse. Twelve PSAC qualifying times were set for the Huskies, who now have eight top-10 times on the year in the PSAC. Their next meet will be Saturday, Nov. 16 at Dickinson. The meet is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Field Hockey: The women ended their season with a 1-0 loss to Shippensburg in a PSAC semifinal contest on Friday, Nov. 8. Overall, the Huskies finished with 13-7 record. Junior forward Felicia Domenici led Bloomsburg with 14 goals and 32 total points, while senior forward Brittany Mathews led the Huskies with four assists. Senior goalie Megan Eppley led Bloomsburg with 78 saves and a goals against average (GAA) of 1.15.
