Men’s Basketball: Over winter break, the men’s basketball team posted a record of 4-6, with victories over Gannon, Clarion, West Chester and Mansfield. For the season, the Huskies are 10-7, including a 7-2 record at home. As the regular season begins to wind down, let’s take a look at the statistical leaders in each category for Bloomsburg.

The Huskies’ next game will be at Millersville on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

Women’s Basketball: The women meanwhile, had even more success over winter break, posting a record of 10-1, including victories over #20 IUP, West Chester, Mansfield and Kutztown. For the season, the Huskies are 15-3, and are currently on an eight game winning streak. Points per game: 16.4- Catherine Noack (Sr. guard/forward)

Rebounds per game: 7.5- Adreana Sadowski (Redshirt So. forward)

Assists per game: 3.9- Maggie Borski (Jr. guard)

Three-pointers made: 52- Catherine Noack (Sr. guard/forward)

The Huskies’ next game will be at Millersville on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

Wrestling: The Bloomsburg University Wrestling team posted a match record of 3-4 over winter break, and also finished second at both the PSAC Championships, and the Cradle Gear Invitational. Recently against Edinboro on Saturday, Jan. 25, senior Richard Perry (197lbs.) won his 100th match of his career. Perry’s 12-4 decision win over Edinboro’s Vince Pickett made him the 17th wrestler in school history to reach the century mark in wins. Bloomsburg’s next match will be at home against Cleveland State on Friday, Jan. 31. The match is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Men’s Swimming: Upon returning from winter training in Florida, the men defeated Susquehanna University 126-77 on Friday, Jan. 17. Senior Bryan Masilotti (Freestyle) posted a PSAC qualifying time of 21.75 in the 50 yard freestyle, along with freshman Eric Usbeck (Breaststroke/Butterfly), who posted a time of 21.96. Sophomore Nick Angeny (Breast/IM/Free) qualified for PSAC’s in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:02.34. The Huskies will compete next in the IUP Invitational on Friday, Jan. 31.

Women’s Swimming: Upon returning from winter training in Florida, the women defeated Susquehanna University 124-80 on Friday, Jan. 17. The Huskies then defeated East Stroudsburg 131-122 on Saturday, Jan. 25. Freshman Brooke Gilson (Distance/Free) won both the 1000-free and the 500-free with times of 10:51.96 and 5:33.97 respectively.The Huskies will competed next in the IUP Invitational on Friday, Jan. 31.
