Husky Update

Men’s Basketball: The men cruised to a 78-53 win over Shippensburg on Saturday, Feb. 8 for their third consecutive victory. Led by Charles Haigler’s (So. Guard) team-high 15 points, the Huskies built a 13-point lead at halftime and never looked back. Bloomsburg shot 53.7% for the game, and had 10 different players score.
Notes:
With the win, the Huskies clinched a PSAC playoff berth for third consecutive year.
The Huskies are now 13-8 overall, and 9-3 in the PSAC East Division.
The Huskies’ next game will be at home against Goldey-Beacom on Wed., Feb. 12. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Women’s Basketball: The women defeated Shippensburg 78-75 on Saturday, Feb. 8 for their twelfth consecutive victory. Catherine Noack (Sr. Guard) led the way with 15 points and four assists. Also scoring in double figures with 14 points each were Adreana Sadowski (R-So. Forward) and Jocelyn Ford (Jr. Guard). Brianna Dudeck (Sr. Guard) scored 11 points and hit two late free throws to give the Huskies a three point lead that they would not relinquish.

The Huskies are now 19-3 overall, and 10-2 in the PSAC East Division.
The Huskies’ next game will be at East Stroudsburg on Sat., Feb. 15. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
Wrestling: The #25 ranked Bloomsburg University Wrestling defeated George Mason 36-3 on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Men’s Track and Field: The men competed at the Susquehanna Crusader Indoor Classic on Saturday. Jessie Mustapha (Sr. Sprinter) posted a PSAC-qualifying time in the 400-meter dash, winning the event with a time of 51.47 seconds. Cole Parkinson (Sr. Jumper) posted a PSAC-qualifying mark of 21 feet 6 inches (6.55 meters) in the long jump.

The Huskies will compete next at Bucknell on Friday, Feb. 14.
Women’s Track and Field: The women competed at the Susquehanna Crusader Indoor Classic on Saturday. In the 800-meter run, Alexis Rankin (Jr. Sprinter) and Lauren Lehman (Jr. Distance) both qualified for PSAC’s with times of 2:21.92 and 2:22.58, respectively.
