BU Offers Free Information For Adult Students

BLOOMSBURG – Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is offering a free information session for adult students, “Can I Should I Go to College?” Thursday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Magee Center, 700 W. Main St., Bloomsburg. The program is open to the public free of charge.
The session is designed for adult learners, who are defined as students over the age of 25. The session will cover the topics of admissions, scheduling, registration, alternate ways to earn college credits, Internet courses, time management and study skills. The session will also discuss fears adult students may have, as well as the experiences of others who have been through the process.
“The session is for those who have never been to college or who haven’t finished,” said presenter Pat Weinhofer, adult education coordinator. Weinhofer, who came to BU as an adult learner, said she understands the “fear of coming back to college when you have been out of school for a long time,” based on her own experiences.
