In the tweet, Casselberry called Davis a slut and criticized Disney for deciding to make a movie about her. The screenshot of the picture made its way around the Internet angering many of Davis’ fans and Bloomsburg University.

His account was deactivated on Saturday, but before he deleted his account, he tweeted: “an example that one stupid tweet can ruin someone’s life and I couldn’t be more sorry about my actions last night. I please ask you to.” He then went on to apologize, saying, “forgive me and truly understand that I am in no way shape or form a sexist and I am a huge fan of Mo’ne. She was quite an inspiration.”

On Twitter, Bloomsburg University commented on the situation, tweeting it was “deeply saddened” by his tweet and that it does not represent their views.
