Bloomsburg President addresses harassment allegations at town hall

Students were adamant in their questioning of Bloomsburg President at the virtual town hall this past Wednesday evening. Many were there on the advice of the Facebook page, “Students against Dr. Bashar Hanna.” The town hall also addressed issues such as campus identities, athletic teams and Greek life as part of the Bloomsburg, Lock Haven and Mansfield Universities’ integration.

“Please understand that anyone can allege anything about anyone,” Dr. Hanna states. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the president has been “pushed out of two other Pennsylvania universities after being accused of mistreating employees” and is accused of sexual harassment.
