It was confirmed by the Office of Greek Affairs on Jan. 17 that Block Party will be held on April 12.

As winter break comes to a close and students are getting ready for the spring semester, the question that comes to people’s minds is when will Block Party be? Well, the wait to find out is over as it became official, according to BU Greek life, that this year it will be held on April 19.

Block Party is one of the most exciting weekends of the entire year and many Bloomsburg students prepare and look forward to what this annual event will bring. It is a day to socialize with friends, relax, wear a t-shirt with the best slogan to represent this joyous occasion and typically wake up as early as possible to drink.

Last year Block Party was brought to a whole new level of insanity. What it was most famous for was the Bear cat truck that busted one of the parties on Fetterman Avenue. This led to students and others in attendance to be pepper sprayed and tear gassed by the police.

Unfortunately, this year’s Block Party is during Easter weekend. This may leave some students with the decision on whether or not to stay for a day of crazy or go home to be with their families.

Do you think that this will affect number of students that will be in attendance this year? Comment below and tell us what you think.
