AGAPE’s Thanks for Giving Event
AGAPE in Bloomsburg is a non-profit that helps those in need with financial assistance, furniture, clothing, and food. They are planning an event in which they will ask people to donate items to benefit the community.
They are asking for new pillows, bedding, shoes, and food, such as single serving microwaveable meals, fruit cups, and juice boxes. The food is for AGAPE’s children’s BackPack program, which gives food to children on the weekends who receive reduced lunches. They serve Millville, Benton, Headstart, and Columbia County Christian schools. This will take place at Walmart in Bloomsburg at 100 Lunger Drive and Surplus Outlet in Berwick at 7595 Columbia Blvd. on March 18 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
