New York Fashion Week: Your Exclusive Insight to the Fashion Madness
Fashion correspondent, Jenna Lemoncelli here, about to feed your fashion appetite! New York Fashion Week was the place to be this month and only BuNow got the inside look at the fashion madness!

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is one of the most anticipated events in the world. Models, editors, bloggers and the fashion-obsessed all wait for the week when fashion is showcased in ways unimaginable. From the backstage craziness to the runway, I have some of the highlights from Feb. 2014’s NYFW, as well as an in-depth interview with a student who had a front row seat to all the action, so you should probably check out that video below.
Kendall Jenner, the not-so-little anymore Kardashian sister, caused quite the frenzy at the star-studded event as she bared it all in Marc Jacobs. The 18-year-old model strutted down the runway at the fashion designers show in a see-through top. With mixed reviews, her family was supportive as usual congratulating her via Instagram.
The ever-so-flawless Donna Karan celebrated her 25th anniversary of her fashion empire with chic street styles all over the runway. A ton of A-list celebs came out to celebrate the proud moment. Karlie Kloss, Iggy Azalea, Emmy Rossum and Joan Smalls were just a few of the famous faces that came out to support the history-making designer. DKNY ambassador, Rita Ora also showed her support by attending the event. Speaking of DKNY, did I mention how they featured REAL New York women in their show? Yes ladies, it is true-you do not need to look like Cara Delevingne to be walking down the runway!
Manolo Blahnik joined NYFW for the first time! The witty shoe designer swooned everyone in attendance as he debuted his celeb-wearing collection. Kendall Jenner, Whitney Port, Kristen Stewart and many more women of Hollywood have been spotted wearing his designs.
New York Fashion week never seems to lack in the shocking moments department, that is for sure! During Prabal Gurung’s show a jokester stormed the runway streaking until he was escorted out by security. Talk about making an entrance!
Celebrities flooded the shows as they made appearances during the fashion-filled week. Beyonce stepped out looking “Sasha Fierce” to attend her sister, Solange Knowles’s, “big apple bash,” E News reports. But what is a fashion week moment without a duck “selfie”? Other stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon couldn’t resist snapping a “selfie,” while seated front and center at the Boss Women fashion show, and E! has the cold hard evidence. The former Destiny’s Child member, Kelly Rowland debuted a sleek bob when attending the NYFW fun. Up-and-coming fashionista’s, as well as former co-stars Bella Thorne and Zendaya Coleman spent some time in the big city for all of the fashion excitement.
Monique Lhuillier, Alexander Wang, Thom Browne, Carolina Herrera, Zac Posen and many more famous designers debuted their work at NYFW. Endless numbers of stars graced the streets of New York City for the invite-only parties and raving runway shows. That was just a snippet, but you can catch the full coverage of NYFW here.
Now it is time for BUnow’s coverage of NYFW. I got the inside scoop straight from Bloomsburg’s very own, my cast member of Dear Bloom: BU Fashion Police, the multi-talented, Lauren Grose. I was thrilled to sit down with the senior Mass Communications major because she is one busy woman. Not only is Grose founder of the University’s first fashion media group, Dear Bloom, but she is a full time fashion blogger. The fashion know-it-all has made an amazing name for herself by running her own fashion blog, Little Black Bob named after her signature hairstyle, a little black bob. With a devoted following, she is (as she would call it), “bobbin” her way to the top with impossible interviews and fashion insight. Little Black Bob has even attracted notice from IMG Model Agency and Marie Claire.

I sat down with the former #Interngirl of Conde Nast’s, Style.com as she got beyond candid with me about her once-in-a-lifetime experience. The skilled fashion blogger scored tickets to the fabulous Christian Siriano and Rebecca Taylor’s highly anticipated runway shows. When attending the frigid event, she not only had a front row seat to the fall/winter 2014 trends, but she got to witness the backstage chaos first hand and even scored an exclusive interview with E! News Correspondent, Alicia Quarles.
You can keep up with the fashion guru on Instagram (littleblackbob), her incredible blog, or by tuning into Dear Bloom: BU Fashion Police every Friday on her YouTube channel (Lauren Grose) to watch her host the fashion show alongside myself, Rebecca Berntsen and Ta’Nae Jardine.

Check out the interview below that only I got with Lauren Grose as she speaks about her journey through the crowded streets of New York City during fashion week. The Little Black Bob only chats with me about her fashion favorites and style icons. You do not want to miss this!
