BUnow Helping Raise Autism Awareness
Wednesday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., BUnow will be hosting a Pieces for Hope event on the Lycoming Lawn. Students and faculty can come and pay $1 to decorate a puzzle piece with various crafts provided by us. All proceeds will go to Autism Speaks.

April is Autism Awareness Month and this year BUnow is joining the cause!
In just two years, the prevalence of children with Autism in the United States has gone from one in 88 children to the current statistic of one in 68 children (USA Today article by Kate Weintraub). Raising public awareness is one of the first vital steps in making progress to change the future for those who struggle with Autism and provide hope for their families.
On this Wednesday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., BUnow will be hosting a Pieces for Hope event on the Lycoming Lawn. Students and faculty can come and pay $1 to decorate a puzzle piece with various crafts provided by us. All proceeds will go to Autism Speaks. Once the event is over and the puzzle pieces are all decorated, an overhead photo will be taken of all of them put together.
So remember to carry a dollar with you on campus Wednesday and stop by to join in helping us raise awareness. We are also providing free waters as an appreciation for those who come out to the event and help BUnow support an important cause!
