BU Madness Basketball Tournament

It’s always a good thing to create, attend, and/or participate in a fundraiser. They are always for a good cause and could really help people in need. Fundraisers could also promote a new group or club. The BU Madness basketball tournament on Friday, March 27 did both of these.
This tournament, which took place in the recreation center, was to support coaches vs cancer.
Another reason for this tournament was to promote the exercise science club. Kristen Caggiano, the president of the club, says, “This is our first tournament. We would like to do it annually.” They figured their timing for the fundraiser was good because of March Madness.
Six teams of three to five people signed up this year, and the winning team, Team Newby, received pinnies.
Faculty members sponsored some of the teams, with the clubs desire to have student-faculty games.
President Kristen Caggiano, vice president Allison Warhola, and the rest of the club put a lot of hard work into the basketball fundraiser, and it showed.
If you are interested in joining the exercise science club, there will be a meeting in 110 Centennial at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 2. They also have a Facebook page if interested!
