The National Broadway Tour “American Idiot” will rock BU’s Mitrani Hall on March 7 at 8 p.m.

“American Idiot” is an adaption of the punk-rock band Green Day. Audience members can look forward to hearing their favorite songs from the 2004 multi-platinum Green Day album “American Idiot” as well as other assorted Green Day songs, like “When It’s Time.”

The punk-rock album “American Idiot,” sold over 12 million copies and was named Rock Album of the Year at the Grammys.

This musical centers on the tale of Green Day  three lifelong friends: One who will fight for his dreams, one who will fight for his country, and one who will stay behind in the safety of suburbia.

The Dallas Morning News referred to the show as “the most brilliant staging of anything, ever!”
