Bloomsburg University Bookstore Honored

The Bloomsburg University Store was recently named one of the top 18 best college retailers in the entire United States and Canada. Bloomsburg and the other school stores being added to the Collegiate Retailer of the Year Honor Roll were announced at this year’s Campus Market Expo (CAMEX), held from Feb. 22 to 26 in Kansas City.

“We’re pleased to be recognized as one of the top 18 stores in the U.S. and Canada,” said Beth Christian, the manager at the Bloomsburg University Store. 1,100 college retailers were represented at CAMEX this year. The exposition is held yearly, and it is the college retail industry’s largest tradeshow. In addition to the honors and awards, the event features educational workshops on improving college retail practices.

The Bloomsburg University Store was also nominated for the Collegiate Retailer of the Year award (CROY) in Fall 2012. To be nominated, stores must demonstrate strong campus connections, academic support, commitment to customers, and a well-rounded shopping experience. The award went to The Forty-Niner Shops at California State University, Long Beach.
