In an email sent to the student body by BU President Dr. Bashar Hanna, he announced that the first week of classes (January 24th-28th) for the Spring 2022 semester at BU will be held virtually. The decision was made in response to the spread of the omicron variant of Covid-19. The university will also provide a staggered move-in schedule for students living on campus.
In the email Dr. Hanna wrote: “It has been a challenging two years since the coronavirus appeared, but I continue to be inspired by your resilience and dedication to your academic pursuits.”
In-person and hybrid classes are planned to resume on January 31st.
