Bloomsburg Senior Slices Defenses for D-II Scoring Record

When Jamie Vanartsdalen set foot on the Bloomsburg campus, she wasn’t sure she had a spot on the field hockey team. She now has a spot in the record book as a vital part of one of the sport’s most successful programs.
A senior, Vanartsdalen is the all-time scoring leader in Division II. Following Tuesday’s 5-0 triumph against Millersville, she has 260 career points on 105 goals and 50 assists. That total ranks eighth all-time for all NCAA divisions. She might also be within reach of the Division II career assists record, needing nine to tie it.
