Bloomsburg Field Hockey Ranked #2 in Coaches Poll

The Bloomsburg University field hockey team is ranked number two in the STX/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll for Tuesday, September 30th. The two-time defending NCAA Champion Huskies are coming off a week in which they went 3-0 and outscored their opponents by a count of 22-2.
The Huskies kicked off the week with a 7-1 win over Kutztown two weeks ago. Jamie Vanartsdalen (Huntingdon Valley/Lower Moreland) scored three times and Maggey Bloskey (Danville/Danville) scored twice. The following Saturday, Vanartsdalen and Amanda Riley (Tannersville/ Pocono Mountain East) each scored two goals in an 8-1 win over C.W. Post. The Huskies wrapped up their week on Sunday with a 7-0 victory over Seton Hill.
IUP remains at the top of this week’s poll, while Shippensburg, University of Massachusetts Lowell and Kutztown round out the top five.
The Huskies, 11-1, are off until Wednesday, October 8th, when they host East Stroudsburg for a 6 p.m. start.
